Sad but true! Most jetted whirlpool bathtubs are dirty, inside and out. Many homeowners don’t ever use them because of this reason alone. Up until now, manufacturers told consumers to use dishwasher detergent and or liquid bleach to clean out all the gunk from the plumbing lines, jets, and shell surface. The problem is this. Those cleaners do not work all that well and don’t thoroughly “clean out” all the dirt, hair, lotions, cosmetics, dead skin, creams, soaps and a plethora of other contaminants and deposits. Actually, some people believe that the soap in the detergent might even add to the already caked up deposits, making it more difficult to get a complete purge. I only cleaned my jucuzzi the last 2 years twice with cascade and bleach never noticed it doing anything and never cleaned it again. However, i started noticing the brown specks. I tried 3 bottles of whirlout it helped but it never really cleaned it out completely. I just got ahh-some and used a teaspoon and I noticed it is throughouly cleaning it. I see the water actually turning brown.

I would recommmend this stuff even though much more expensive than whirlout which is harsher with the chemicals.

Add one level teaspoon (tsp) to a tub that is at least 1/2 to 2/3 filled with water. Warm water will work faster since the gel will dissolve quickly. Run the jets for at least 10 minutes on the “first time” purge. You will notice brown and black specks develop on the top of the small amount of foam that should be on the surface. If you get too much foam, use less product the next time. The foam will dissipate in minutes and you can simply dump and rinse it down the drain after the tub is cleaned and rinsed. You will be absolutely amazed as to how much gunk and junk you will dislodge on the first cleaning. Now, simply rinse the shell and let the water drain out. Your tub is actually the cleanest it ever was or will be at this point. You can safely soak in the tub knowing there are no contaminants or particulates that will affect you in any way. Any bacteria that was clinging inside the plumbing system or the jets is now dislodged and down the drain. Do this weekly or after each bath for best results. Subsequent cleanings can be done by running the pump for only a few minutes. Remember to take the container with you if you travel and wish to use a jetted tub in a hotel, condo or home away from home. You can take it with you on the plane with no problem. Tell the hotel to start using the gel. Our company would appreciate that.
