What Bleach And Cascade Do When Cleaning Jetted Tubs
Posted by wfleonard in The Sand and the Foam Blog
Some Jetted Tub Cleaners May Be Harmful To Your Health
Sodium Hypochlorite is commonly known as bleach and used as a disinfectant or a bleaching agent. There is normally 4% of chlorine in bleach and even then, if you spill it on your skin, it will cause caustic irritation and burns. Bleach can also be hazardous when coming into contact with other household cleaners, such as ammonia (including urine) producing chloramines and trihalomethane (THM). THM has been shown to be carcinogenic in animals. Chloramines cause red eyes, skin irritations and the typical bleach cleaning smell, and they are suspected of being carcinogenic.
Please feel free to continue to use bleach in your jetted tub, you are only killing the bacteria (a good thing) but leaving the gunk buildup on the inside piping walls and in the jet crevices (a bad thing). Take a look to your right and see how the Ahh-Some Bio Cleaner purges the gunk on the walls of the 30 foot of jetted tub piping. The bio cleaner not only cleans the pipe walls but eradicates bacteria, algae, mold, oils, grease and anything else that has been deposited on the detritus (gunk) over time.
Our goal, which is proven everyday by thousands of satisfied customers, with the Ahh-Some Whirlpool Jetted Tub Bio Cleaner is to make the pipes 100% clean.
Dishwasher detergent is recommended to be used for cleaning jetted tub pipes as a masking on the gunk buildup in the interior piping. This actually prevents flaking of the gunk because it places a coating over top of the gunk. We can honestly say that, jetted tub manufacturers, condone this type of cleaning of the jetted tub pipes just so that you may never see the flaking coming out of the jets … well for about two weeks.
We all are human and since we do not see a problem, we do not act upon the harmful bacteria and bio-film buildup in the jetted tub until its too late. There are a number of other “Jetted Tub” cleaning solutions out on the market today that either are diluted bleach, diluted bleach with coloring, or dish washing detergent with a jetted tub trade name like whirl something. Be care of a jetted tub cleaning product that is named after a 1950′s song “Splish Splash“, it has two active ingredients, one is bleach and the other is Sodium Hdroxide, which commonly referred to as Lye and Caustic Soda. I would not be splishing and splashing with this cleaner in your jetted tub.
In case you are wondering, our Ahh-Some Jetted Tub Bio Cleaner has none of these products in them. Our bio cleaner, and I use the word bio cleaner, because it is safe for the environment and for human ingestion (when used in water vessels for bio cleaner), eradicates the harmful bacteria, mold spores, algae, oils and gunk on the walls of the jetted tub piping. When you start to use our Ahh-Some Bio Cleaner, the first thing you see is the ahh-some amount of gunk and flakes. The bio cleaner continues to work at the pipe walls even after the cleaning has ended. This is why it may take a few days to clean a really terribly dirty tub.
We have a 24 hour jetted tub cleaning on the home page of our website.
Hope this helps you a little bit in understand why our bio cleaner is environmentally safe and more effective in cleaning your jetted tub than any other product on the market today.
We stand by it 100%
